December 2024: Brandi Reyerse

Gulf Coast Industrial works with the energy industry on many levels including manufacturing, maintenance, and to increase efficiencies. Will you please describe the services provided to the electric and natural gas industries.
Our industry experts assist our power customers through the planning stages of turnarounds and capital projects all the way through start up. Our fabrication shops work in conjunction with field operations to provide both large scale fabrication and emergency outage/24 hour services. The high level of quality delivered by our construction teams ensure the customer’s blueprints become reality. To ensure our customers’ expectations are exceeded, our quality, engineering and start up teams round off the post completion phases of every project to make certain that all work is completed to the highest standard with our customers’ facilities operating with maximum efficiency.
You recently acquired Gulf Coast Industrial. What is your long-term vision for the company?
My long term vision for GCI is that we can continue to grow a culture focused on sustainability through continuous improvement and strategic alliances.
Share your professional background with our readership, and what inspired you to be in this industry?
I started in this industry when I was in high school. To be completely honest, I just needed an after school job. I worked my way through the HR and Safety departments as a student and once I graduated high school, I transferred to the Chemical and Power Generation side of my previous employer. That is where I really fell in love with the camaraderie in this industry. When the opportunity came to be on the ground level of GCI, I jumped on it. I have been blessed to work through every department in the company over the years and when ownership became a possibility, it was another opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
As we consider tomorrow’s pipeline of workforce talent, why should they find technology and engineering platforms exciting as a career? How can they make an IMPACT for the future?
The exciting part of our industry is that we are always evolving. Technology and engineering services are at the forefront of that evolution. Tomorrow’s workforce has the opportunity to lead the charge on changes that will leave their fingerprint on future generations.
