January’s Champions in Headlines

Florida’s Women in Energy Leadership Forum extends a congratulatory note to two leaders in the energy industry:

First, Ms. Marlene Santos for entering her new role as President of Gulf Power Company. Previously, she served as the Chief Integration Officer at NextEra Energy, and before that she spent her career working at Florida Power & Light Company in several roles, including Vice President of Customer Service.  Ms. Santos is a results-proven Fortune 150 executive with documented success transforming organizations to achieve industry leading results.

Next,  Mr. Jeff Householder has been appointed to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation. Mr. Householder will bring thirty years of experience in the energy industry. Most recently, he served as President of Florida Public Utilities Company. He also served in leadership positions with TECO Energy Peoples Gas, West Florida Gas Company, Florida City Gas and Tallahassee Utilities.

The purpose of “Champions in Headlines,” an extension of this year’s Forum theme, is to recognize the accomplishments of men and women who have already proven to be enthusiastic supporters of purposeful inclusion.
